About the role

Translated into English from French by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.

Anticipate. Plan. Set the pace for our projects.

Do you have solid experience in project planning and want to play a decisive role in the success of large-scale mandates? Do you enjoy giving projects a clear vision, anticipating challenges, optimising schedules and advising teams in their decisions?

Norda Stelo offers you the opportunity to put your expertise to work within its Project Management Office, with a cross-functional scope across varied and stimulating projects. You will have the chance to influence delivery strategies, strengthen planning practices and contribute directly to the performance of our projects.

The team behind the engineering

At Norda Stelo, we believe that major projects deserve a vision that matches their ambitions. Our Project Management Office supports organisations in delivering projects of all sizes, from strategic planning through to delivery. Active in sectors as varied as mining, energy, infrastructure and industry, it plays a cross-functional role across the entire organisation.

The Project Management Office contributes to the success of Norda Stelo's sales and projects, from preparing the service proposal through to the delivery of mandates. We work with sales teams, project managers and centres of excellence so that our experts can focus on what they do best.

Our raison d'être

Supporting the success of Norda Stelo's sales and projects: contributing to strong, competitive service proposals, then to rigorous and high-performing delivery of mandates. We are evolving our practices to better seize business opportunities and anticipate risks.

What defines us

· Sales support. Together with sales teams and experts, we promote our expertise and achievements in service proposals. Our proposals meet client needs and stand out for their quality.

· Project support. We support project managers with cost control, project agents, document control, training and risk monitoring.

· Operational transformation. We evolve our processes, tools and performance measures, with clear governance, to continuously improve how we manage projects.

How we work

We support every project from end to end, from service proposal to closure. We believe in collective intelligence and collaboration, with Norda Stelo's values: trust, excellence, integrity, respect, innovation and adaptability.

Our ambition

To be the preferred partner of our sales and project teams: better-prepared service proposals to win profitable mandates, and better-supported projects to deliver them with confidence.

Your role: influence, anticipate and evolve

Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office, you will act as a reference in scheduling and schedule control. You will support directors and project teams in developing robust planning strategies, controlling schedules and anticipating risks.

From defining delivery strategies through to handover, you will ensure an integrated view of project progress, identify critical issues and propose solutions to support the achievement of objectives. Your expertise will also help evolve planning methods, tools and practices across the organisation.

Your main mandates and responsibilities

  • Develop planning strategies: develop master and detailed schedules for the different project phases, from engineering to procurement, construction and commissioning.

  • Structure and optimise schedules: establish activity sequences, interdependencies, key milestones, critical paths and resource requirements.

  • Monitor performance: analyse actual progress against baseline schedules, measure variances and produce reliable forecasts.

  • Anticipate risks and issues: identify critical activities, assess the impacts of delays, carry out scenario analyses and recommend mitigation strategies.

  • Advise project teams: support directors and project managers in their decisions, recovery strategies and schedule optimisation.

  • Produce management analyses and reports: prepare dashboards, progress reports and performance indicators to support decision-making.

  • Contribute to service proposals: take part in developing delivery strategies, preliminary schedules and duration estimates for proposals and tenders.

  • Evolve practices: contribute to the development, harmonisation and improvement of planning methods, tools and standards within Norda Stelo.

  • Share your expertise: act as a resource person for planners and teams, promote knowledge transfer and support skills development.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, administration or a relevant field.

  • 10+ years of experience in schedule planning and control within complex project environments.

  • Experience in the engineering, construction, mining, industry or infrastructure sectors (an asset).

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Knowledge of TILOS or other specialised planning tools is an asset.

  • Good knowledge of planning methods, progress tracking, critical path analysis and schedule-related risk management.

  • Knowledge of recognised project management and control practices, notably those of AACE International or the PMI.

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of Power BI and data visualisation tools is an asset.

  • Ability to analyse complex situations, anticipate challenges and formulate strategic recommendations.

  • Leadership, autonomy, rigour and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, in order to collaborate with teams and clients in Canada and internationally.
