Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) for our Data & Analytics team, who will support our data strategies.

In your day-to-day work you will focus on developing data-driven applications and have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects.
Our Data & Analytics team enables our clients to achieve sustainable growth by helping them move from intuitive to objective decision-making through reliable data collection, the implementation of a suitable data infrastructure and effective data initiatives.

We are looking for capable talents with diverse backgrounds to join us on our journey to use data and create real impact through scalable ML/AI infrastructures, thorough analyses and meaningful correlations, and to ensure sensible application.

• Building high-quality data warehouses, cloud infrastructures, AI workflows and more
• Integrating data from various systems into flexible and consistent views
• Investigating and evaluating the long-term effects of AI use cases and their implementation
• Ensuring that all employees and IT systems in the company have easy access to data via various frontends and interfaces
• Working in an agile software development process in close cooperation with the Analytics, Product Development and Software Development teams
• Working in a great cross-functional team environment and thereby influencing the business

• Genuine interest in data and algorithms, and enthusiasm for solving difficult business problems through scalable data products
• Knowledge of version control systems, web technologies, software, best practices in Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering, and of how database systems work
• Solid experience with SQL, Python and dbt
• Experience with machine learning and/or AI is an advantage
• Optional: The ability to apply data science to something that creates business value 
• Willingness to learn (we know you can "fly at least one aircraft type", and we will provide you with numerous types and variants of this aircraft)
• Good communication skills in German and English (native or native-like level)
• A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
