The Program Manager - AI & Data Transformation will be responsible for leading and delivering strategic AI, Data, Analytics, and Digital Transformation initiatives across the Commercial Banking domain. The role requires a highly experienced techno-functional leader with a strong blend of business, technology, data, and program management expertise. The incumbent will drive end-to-end delivery of AI programs, from strategy and business case development through implementation, governance, adoption, and benefits realization. The role demands hands-on experience in managing enterprise-scale AI projects and a strong understanding of data platforms, AI/ML technologies, cloud ecosystems, and regulatory requirements within the BFSI industry with specialized focus on SME/Commercial banking domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale AI, Generative AI, Data Analytics, and Digital Transformation programs within the BFSI sector.
- Own end-to-end program delivery, including scope, planning, budgeting, risk management, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Drive AI adoption by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing high-value business use cases.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define AI and data transformation roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee solution design and implementation involving AI/ML models, Generative AI, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Automation platforms.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Architects, Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Leaders to ensure successful delivery and value realization.
- Establish robust program governance, KPI tracking, executive reporting, and performance management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, data privacy, and responsible AI requirements.
- Lead vendor and partner engagements, including technology evaluations, implementation oversight, and contract governance.
- Drive organizational change management, user adoption, and business readiness for AI- enabled solutions.
- Mentor and lead cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and business units.
- Support business development activities, solution proposals, and strategic AI advisory engagements when required.
Security and compliance will be a core focus, requiring implementation of best practices for identity and access management, encryption, and adherence to regulatory frameworks. The role will also involve conducting risk assessments and vulnerability management across cloud and on-premises environments.
Governance and cost optimization are critical priorities, including establishing cloud governance policies, tagging strategies, and cost management practices.
Collaboration is essential, as the role requires working closely with application teams, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions. The architect will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a Center of Excellence for AI technologies within the organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge & Experience:
- 18+ years of overall experience in Information Technology, Digital Transformation, or Enterprise Program Management.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience leading AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, Analytics, or Data Transformation programs.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale enterprise transformation
programs in Banking and Financial Services.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar programs and large distributed delivery teams.
- Hands-on implementation experience in AI and Data platforms, beyond purely governance or managerial responsibilities.
- Experience working with global stakeholders, senior executives, and cross-functional teams.
