About the role

Translated into English from Swedish by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.

As Bankomat has established in-house cash handling, the operation has grown and the organisation has developed. As part of this development, we are now strengthening leadership in the organisation and recruiting group managers for three of our departments.

Therefore Bankomat is now looking for a Group Manager Cash Handling who wants to take responsibility for leading and developing a team focused on secure, efficient and accessible cash supply. The role is central to ensuring that our depots, transports and cash machines operate in accordance with high standards of quality, cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.

As Group Manager, you will combine leadership and operational work with tactical planning in a socially critical operation where availability, security and collaboration are decisive for success.

About the role

As Group Manager Cash Handling, you have personnel responsibility for and lead the day-to-day work within the cash handling area. You are responsible for planning, prioritising and following up the operation based on set goals, budget and priorities.

You work closely with both internal functions and external suppliers to ensure well-functioning cash flows and high delivery quality. The role also involves active work with follow-up, efficiency improvements, cost monitoring and risk management.

Your main areas of responsibility are to:

  • lead, allocate and follow up the group's work

  • be responsible for budget, forecasts and cost monitoring within the group's area

  • ensure that processes, routines and controls are developed and followed

  • develop employees, competence and ways of working

  • investigate, analyse and further develop your own operation

You report to the Head of Automat and Depot Infrastructure and are part of the department's management team.

Who are you?

We place great importance on your personal qualities, where you have a genuine interest in people and a strong desire to contribute to their development and success. You believe in present and trust-based leadership where clear goals are combined with responsibility, mandate and follow-up.

As a leader, you are skilled at helping people grow, both in their roles and as individuals. You delegate responsibility in a trusting way and create conditions for your employees to take their own initiatives and make decisions within their area of responsibility. You coach, challenge and support, while being clear about expectations and priorities.

You have a good ability to create involvement and bring employees along in change and development. Through your leadership you build a culture characterised by collaboration, accountability and continuous learning.

To succeed in the role, you also need to be structured, proactive and thrive in an operation where security, quality and delivery capability are decisive. You work independently, take your own initiatives and have the courage to develop the operation, drive change and make decisions within your area of responsibility

Qualifications

Education

We are looking for you who have:

A post-secondary education in, for example, economics, finance or statistics, or other equivalent education. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge through several years of relevant work experience. You are confident working with data and analysis tools to follow up and develop the operation.

Experience

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Experience of leading and developing employees, teams and ways of working.

  • Experience of operational management with responsibility for results, quality and delivery.

  • Experience of budget work, follow-up and cost control.

  • Experience of supplier management and collaboration with external partners.

  • Good ability to work based on key figures, analyses and operational follow-up.

  • Very good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

About Bankomat

Bankomat is Sweden's leading provider of cash handling. We offer people the opportunity to withdraw and deposit cash via our well-known blue machines, which are located in almost 600 places in Sweden. For us it is important that those who want to use cash have that possibility. We have a comprehensive infrastructure of withdrawal and deposit machines across the country. In 250 of our machines we also offer the most common currencies: euro, British pound and US dollar.

Since 2025, Bankomat itself handles the transport of cash to and from the company's machines. By running cash handling in-house, Bankomat can continue to secure the supply of cash to our machines and thereby contribute to a long-term secure cash handling in Sweden.
