Job description

As Principal Electrical Engineer - Data Centers, you are responsible for the technical management of electrical studies on complex data centre projects, ensuring the robustness of solutions, compliance with performance requirements and coordination with all disciplines.

You act as the electrical technical reference, initially supervising subcontracted studies, then contributing to the development of internal electrical engineering skills within Patriarche.

Your responsibilities:

Electrical technical management & study supervision

• Manage electrical studies on HV/MV/LV systems, UPS units, generator sets and backup power supply

• Supervise external design offices and validate their technical deliverables

• Define and validate the electrical architecture and the sizing of installations

Study coordination & integration

• Ensure the integration of electrical systems with mechanical, architectural and IT constraints

• Take part in multidisciplinary design reviews

• Ensure the overall technical coherence of the project

Client interface & stakeholders

• Act as the electrical point of contact for clients and consultants

• Translate performance requirements into technical solutions

• Lead technical meetings and validate design choices

Quality, compliance & performance

• Ensure compliance with standards (Uptime Tier, TIA-942, electrical standards)

• Validate technical documentation

• Deliver the objectives for resilience, redundancy and operational continuity

Site support & commissioning

• Analyse execution studies and deliverables from contractors

• Support site monitoring and technical clarifications

• Take part in testing, commissioning and system validation phases

Development of internal expertise

• Contribute to the development of internal electrical engineering

• Take part in recruitment and the upskilling of teams

• Define tools, standards and design methods

Profile sought

· Engineering degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

· Experience in data centres or on complex industrial projects

· Proven expertise in HV/MV/LV systems and critical power supply

· Knowledge of international data centre standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute)

· Fluent English and French (written and spoken)
