As a structural engineer at WSP, you actively contribute smart, innovative solutions to complex infrastructure challenges. You apply your technical expertise to design high-quality structures, and you deliberately share your experience with less experienced colleagues, so that the whole team grows stronger.

What does your new role look like?

As a structural engineer at WSP, you work on civil structures of varying scale and complexity: from smart bespoke solutions to large, high-profile projects such as ViA15, the Oosterweel link and the ProRail tunnel alliances. You make full use of your professional expertise and actively pass it on to less experienced colleagues, so that the team as a whole grows and our quality is continuously strengthened.

We are looking for an all-round structural engineer with a solid foundation in concrete and knowledge of steel. You work on a broad variety of structures - viaducts, bridges, underpasses, tunnels and renovations of landmark stations such as Amsterdam Centraal, as well as replacement and renovation projects

At WSP, you work at the interface of design and construction and see up close how your designs become reality. You work for both contractors and public clients, including municipalities, water boards and provinces, and act as a design partner or structural advisor across various project phases.

What do we like to see in you?

You are a driven structural engineer with a solid technical foundation. You combine in-depth professional knowledge with strategic insight and know how to turn complex challenges into practical, achievable solutions  You are proactive,  intrinsically motivated, and actively respond to developments within the field. In addition, you share your knowledge and experience  with less experienced colleagues, so that the team as a whole continues to grow. You have an excellent command of Dutch standards and guidelines.

We are looking for someone with the following profile:

• You hold a completed post-HBO or university degree in Civil Engineering and have 12-15 years of experience as a structural engineer in civil engineering, with strong expertise in concrete and a good foundation in steel.

• You think quickly thanks to your broad experience, grasp structures with ease and know how to effectively guide and support less experienced structural engineers.

• You preferably have experience drawing up verification calculations; knowledge of soil mechanics and sheet pile structures is a clear advantage.
