Lead Cloud Technician

As part of our growth and to meet the specific needs of one of our clients, we are looking for a Lead Cloud Technician for a strategic assignment.

Main responsibilities

• Define, design and evolve multi-environment Cloud architectures.

• Provide technical leadership on DevOps, automation and container orchestration topics.

• Translate business needs and architecture guidelines into suitable technical solutions.

• Ensure the consistency, quality and security of the architectures implemented.

• Support technical teams through mentoring, code reviews and sharing of best practices.

• Design and automate infrastructure provisioning through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

• Develop and maintain scripts, tools and automation components.

• Design, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines to make deployments more reliable.

• Administer and optimise containerised platforms in production.

• Design and secure complex Cloud network architectures, integrating connectivity, routing and access control issues.

• Implement Cloud security and governance best practices, particularly within a DevSecOps approach.

• Contribute to improving the performance, availability, resilience and cost optimisation of the platforms.

• Take into account business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.

• Collaborate with technical, product, architecture and security teams.

• Carry out technology watch and contribute to the integration of innovative solutions, particularly around artificial intelligence applied to IT activities.
  

Desired profile

Technical skills

• Solid expertise in public Cloud environments and Cloud architectures.

• Proven experience in DevOps and Cloud architecture.

• Mastery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and infrastructure automation.

• Advanced experience with containerisation and orchestration platforms.

• Expertise in designing and optimising CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent scripting and automation skills.

• Good command of networking and Cloud security concepts: connectivity, routing, access control and infrastructure security.

• Ability to implement DevSecOps practices and manage technical risks.

• Mastery of the principles of performance, high availability, resilience and observability of platforms.

Interpersonal skills and aptitudes

• Knowledge of object-oriented development languages.

• Experience with GitOps architectures.

• Advanced mastery of observability and monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of Cloud security, governance and compliance mechanisms.

• Interest in or experience of integrating artificial intelligence solutions applied to IT environments.

Experience and education

• Significant experience in Cloud architecture and DevOps.

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, technical reference person or DevOps architect.

• Advanced practice of automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
