Senior SAP Utilities Consultant

The European energy sector is rebuilding its core systems, while regulation, smart metering and the energy transition are constantly changing what the systems must be able to handle. Sweden is no exception. That is why we are expanding our SAP Utilities business here, and we are looking for you who want to help shape it.

We are casting a fairly broad net with this role, because it sits where industry processes, regulation and SAP technology meet. We assume you have a solid background in the energy and utilities industry and have worked hands-on with SAP for utilities, preferably S/4HANA Utilities. You know SAP IS-U and have been through the journey from legacy environments to S/4HANA. You know the processes from start to finish, from meter-to-cash and billing to customer management, metering and market communication, and you understand how the Swedish energy market and its rules work in practice.

In your role you will, among other things, advise Swedish and international energy companies in their transformation programmes. You translate market requirements into solutions that are scalable, compliant and work in day-to-day operations, and you design solution architecture, develop process design and support implementation all the way through. You are the link between business stakeholders, regulatory experts and SAP technical teams, and you contribute to customer workshops, sales work and solution development. You also help build up our Utilities expertise in Sweden, together with knowledgeable and committed adesso colleagues across Europe, and contribute to reusable industry solutions, methods and best practices.

We offer a hybrid model that combines flexibility with real teamwork. We support and encourage remote working where it is reasonable, but we think it is really fun to meet colleagues in the office, and we therefore expect regular presence at one of our offices. In other words, the role is not fully remote. Occasional travel to customers, other adesso offices and international project meetings is included, but we keep it reasonable and compatible with a sustainable work-life balance.

This is what we would like you to bring with you

· At least 5 years of experience in the energy and utilities industry, preferably 7-10 years or more

· Practical experience of SAP solutions for utilities, in particular SAP S/4HANA Utilities

· Experience of SAP IS-U, including transition or migration from legacy environments to S/4HANA

· Very good understanding of utility industry processes from start to finish: meter-to-cash, billing, customer management, metering and market communication

· Experience of complex SAP implementations, migrations or transformation programmes

· Solid knowledge of the Swedish energy market, including market structures, regulations and operational processes within electricity distribution and electricity trading, metering, billing and compliance

· Practical experience of translating regulatory requirements into business processes and IT solutions

· Experience of international project environments and distributed teams

· You must be fluent in both Swedish (native or equivalent professional level) and English, both spoken and written

It is also a plus if you have

· Experience of energy markets and regulatory environments in at least one other European country, for example Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark or Norway

· Knowledge of other European languages, especially German

· Awareness of current trends such as market liberalisation, smart metering and digitalisation
