OpSales is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients, a growing SaaS software publisher. It is creating a Projects Manager position to structure the management of its deployments.
Your role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you lead a team of 4 to 5 project managers and are responsible for ensuring that commitments made to clients are met across all deployments.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the project portfolio: consolidated view, team workload planning, prioritisation and monitoring of profitability
- Manage the team: recruitment, onboarding and development of project managers, portfolio reviews and individual objectives
- Build management indicators, set alert thresholds and report to management
- Standardise and industrialise deployment methods, building on lessons from each project
- Act as interface with R&D: handle escalations and consolidate recurring needs to be passed on to the product team
- Personally manage up to 2 sensitive deployments (strategic clients or projects in difficulty) and remain the escalation point on the client side
- Support sales before the sale: demonstrations, feasibility, timelines
Your profile
- Minimum 8 years in project management, including proven experience managing project managers or managing a portfolio
- Experience deploying software with business users, including change management
- Good understanding of supply chain, purchasing, procurement or distribution
- Comfortable dealing with senior management in a demanding contractual setting
- Fluent professional English, as projects are carried out with North American clients
- Taste for figures, firmness in decision-making, and a desire to build a function in a start-up-type environment
