Construction Superintendent Electrical & Automation (Chile)

ISS International Spa is looking for a Construction Superintendent for electrical and automation systems (E&A) for the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) Project at Cerro Armazones, Chile.

Mission: Supervise all electro-instrumental and automation construction activities within the assigned project areas, ensuring compliance with the project schedule, quality standards, health, safety and environment (HSE) requirements, engineering specifications and construction priorities.

Requirements and skills required:

• Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.

• Minimum 10 years' experience in industrial electrical construction projects.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in supervisory or coordination roles.

• Proven experience in MV/LV systems, energy distribution and industrial installations.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

• Good command of English; knowledge of Spanish is considered an advantage.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts and technical documentation.

• Experience supervising cable laying, cable tray installation, terminations and equipment installation.

• Knowledge of MV/LV switchboards, transformers, UPS systems, MCCs and industrial automation systems.

• Experience coordinating with Engineering, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environment, Planning and Commissioning departments.

• Solid knowledge of construction methodologies and IEC standards.

Position details:

• Place of work: Cerro Armazones (Chile)

• Expected start: ASAP

• Duration: 12 months, extendable up to approximately 20

• Working hours: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week; overtime expected

• Rotation: 90 days ON / 15 days OFF + travel days

• Working model: full time, on site

• Contract type: fixed-term employment with ISS International S.p.A.

• Applicable collective agreement: Cisal Terziario Commercio

• Indicative grade: B2

• Expected salary band: indicative RAL between approximately €32,000 and €36,000 gross per year, defined on the basis of experience, skills and applicable grade, according to objective and gender-neutral criteria.

• Overseas allowance: an additional remuneration linked to the overseas assignment is provided, depending on the destination site and the conditions of the assignment.
