About the role
Translated into English from French by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.
Workleap is a Montréal-based tech company founded in 2006. Builders at heart, we create simple products that make a real difference for the people who use them. We have two product lines: Workleap Agent, our new solution designed to help every manager be more effective, and ShareGate, the global reference for Microsoft 365 migration and governance. More than 15,000 companies around the world trust us to do exactly that. We are intentional about who we hire: people who want to roll up their sleeves and build something meaningful during one of the most exciting periods in tech history.
At Workleap, our engineering teams already ship more than twice as fast thanks to AI. Now we are extending that to everything around the code: briefs, specs, design, launch and measurement. The idea is simple: agents do the work, and humans make the decisions. We are rethinking how we build products and exploring technical possibilities: this is only the beginning. As a Senior AI Developer, you will join us to shape and build this solution and ensure it rests on solid technical foundations.
Your impact:
- Deliver the first agents into production with our Product Managers, starting with brief creation and the handover from Product Management to design, then extending them to the rest of the product lifecycle.
- Shape the architecture and common standards (orchestration, skills, memory, evals, guardrails) so that our two product lines rest on the same foundation.
- Take ownership of the production quality of these agents: observability, testing, security and costs built in from the start, with human approval at every key stage.
- Co-design with Product Managers: understand how they work, reuse what they have already automated and deliver small iterations that they test and adopt.
- Measure what works: time saved, the delay between a customer signal and the delivered decision, cost per agent and per feature, then cut what adds no value.
- Grow others: share your agent development practices so the team can build, operate and improve agents with full autonomy.
Over the next 6 to 12 months, you will work on questions such as: how does an agent turn an idea into a brief that a Product Manager approves without rewriting it? How do specialised agents pass on context without losing it or making costs explode? How do we decide that an agent is reliable enough to lighten a validation step? The vision is clear and a proof of concept in Slack is under way: you arrive early enough to shape the architecture and turn this start into a production standard.
You will join the Product Operations team, a small team that serves the Product Managers of both product lines and already handles tracking, product data quality and analytics. Day to day, you will work with this team, with our AI-Software Development Life Cycle team, which already automates software delivery, and with our Product Managers across both product lines. You will also collaborate with the Senior AI Developer on our Data team to share patterns and tooling. We use AI every day, we decide quickly and we deliver in iterations.
Our technology ecosystem includes Claude (Claude Code, skills, Managed Agents, Design), MCP, Slack, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Mixpanel, Snowflake, Azure, etc.
What you bring- Fluent English is required, as you will regularly collaborate with colleagues, customers and partners who speak languages other than French;
- Solid production engineering experience across the full agent development lifecycle;
- Hands-on experience designing and putting multi-agent systems into production (orchestration, tools, context and memory), integrated with tools such as Slack, Atlassian and MCP;
- Experience instrumenting and evaluating systems: evaluation, observability, regression testing and cost tracking;
- Sound architectural judgement on reliability, security and costs, including choosing the right model for the right task, and the confidence to form and defend a technical opinion;
- Experience creating components or tools that other people adopt;
- A real product sense: you understand how a Product Manager works and you build with users, not in isolation;
- A taste for building as a team and helping people change how they work by sharing your practices;
- A builder's mindset: you take ownership of what you ship, ambiguity at the early stage of a project does not bother you, and you use AI-assisted development tools daily, with critical judgement;
- Bonus: experience in product management, or on a B2B SaaS, HR or IT product.
Does most of this sound like you? Apply.
What the role includes- Base salary: $140,000 - $170,000. This range reflects our pan-Canadian salary scale. The final offer may be adjusted according to the candidate's region to align with local market conditions.

- RRSP + family group insurance + telemedicine + annual wellness budget.
- Flexible vacation policy.
- Remote work, with access to our Montréal offices.
- In-person gatherings twice a year.
- Claude available to everyone.
At Workleap, we build software at the heart of the work experience, every day, at every level.
We move fast. Priorities change, decisions are made with the information we have, and we iterate. If you thrive on intensity and ambiguity does not scare you, you will feel at home. We are builders. We do what it takes to move forward. AI is part of the toolkit. We use it to go faster and decide more intelligently, not to replace judgement.
If you want real impact and a place where your decisions count, this is it.
Transparency is how we recruit, for you as much as for us.
Here is how it works: a first conversation with a recruiter, then a virtual interview with the hiring manager. You then complete a take-home case study, followed by a meeting with future colleagues to discuss it together. Depending on the role, the process may vary slightly; your recruiter will give you all the details during your first call.
We use AI to support some steps of the process, but every hiring decision remains human.
We look forward to meeting you.
