Senior Service Designer at Maverick

Maverick is looking for an experienced service designer who wants to work on complex assignments where user needs and business value meet. You work on consulting assignments for clients in both the private and public sectors and drive service development from insight to implementation. In close collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams, you map the current situation, identify opportunities and design solutions that create value.

As a Service Designer at Maverick, you work on varied assignments, both with clients and in internal projects. You work with both new services and the further development of existing processes, for clients in areas such as finance, automotive and public administration. The work covers user research, customer journeys, workshop facilitation, concept and prototype development, and ensuring that design solutions are realised.

You have a central role in turning complex business and customer needs into clear concepts and service strategies. The role requires you to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and drive decisions through analysis and structure.

You work both independently and in teams together with UX designers, developers and strategists. Clients are often medium-sized to large organisations in both the private and public sectors. The work takes place mainly on a hybrid or remote basis, but some assignments require presence at the client's site.

You are sociable and confident in new contexts, with strong communication skills. You easily adapt language and approach to your audience, whether it is a developer, decision-maker or end user. You build trust, create engagement and thrive in the role of a bridge between different perspectives and expectations.

• At least ten years of documented experience of service design in the business sector or public sector

• Experience from automotive or other technology-intensive industries

• Experience of the entire service design process in complex ecosystems, from insight to implementation

• Solid knowledge of user-centred methods such as customer insight work, service blueprinting and customer journeys

• Strong business acumen and the ability to link design insights to strategic decisions

• Experience of consulting work and client assignments

• Experience of designing and facilitating workshops, including at management level

• Very good Swedish and English, spoken and written

• Resident in Gothenburg and surrounding area

• Experience of traditional business development tools such as business modelling, business cases and competitor and trend analysis

• Good business sense and understanding of business strategy, budgeting, time and pricing
