■Team Overview
The Talent Acquisition team at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) recruits people who will join the team creating “entertainment experiences” enjoyed by people around the world through the PlayStation business, through mid-career hiring, new graduate hiring, dispatch, contract and part-time hiring. We hire across a diverse range of roles and levels, from engineers with advanced technologies such as hardware and system software engineers and AI/ML, to business roles such as sales and marketing, and positions in administrative departments.
The recruitment team is currently a small, elite team of 8 people, broadly divided into a new graduate recruitment team and an experienced hire recruitment team, but depending on peak seasons and changes in priorities over time, and considering initiatives common to the recruitment team, we work across boundaries as circumstances require.
In addition to hands-on recruitment, we are also involved in developing and executing initiatives beyond recruitment practice, such as improving the recruitment process, planning talent pool building initiatives, improving the onboarding process, analysing post-joining survey results and making recommendations to workplaces, and co-designing training programmes for interviewers, collaborating with various departments both within and outside HR. We are required to continuously upgrade how and what we do in recruitment in an ever-changing environment, and we actively welcome new ideas and proposals in this regard.
This position, as Senior Manager of the overall recruitment team managing the small teams for both new graduate and mid-career hiring, will not only support hands-on recruitment but also, in collaboration with the Japan HR VP, the HRBP Directors of each organisation and VP-level leaders of business teams, propose and lead medium- to long-term recruitment strategy from a professional recruitment perspective with the whole organisation in view.
Also, depending on your own capacity, you may be involved in projects spanning a fairly broad range of HR areas beyond recruitment alone, such as process improvement and system and tool updates around recruitment, collaboration in the training area, and sharing compensation trends, working with leaders of each team such as the People Operation Team, Talent Development Team, Total Reward Team within HR, as well as the IT Team and the Management Accounting Team.
While leveraging your strength as a specialist in the recruitment area, we would very much like to hear from people who want to contribute to building a better organisation with a medium- to long-term view of SIE, beyond recruitment alone, and who have that passion and drive.
■Responsibilities
