Senior Data Engineer Snowflake

At Logicalis Spain we are looking for Senior Data Engineers with real experience in the advanced capabilities of the Snowflake platform and involvement in end-to-end analytics projects, data platform modernisation and artificial intelligence initiatives.

The Logicalis Data & AI team works with national and international clients, carrying out major projects in data engineering, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics, data strategy, governance, integration and architecture, covering the entire data lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technically lead solutions and data projects based on Snowflake, carrying out consultancy and technology evaluation tasks that add value and with the ability to liaise directly with clients and stakeholders.

• Design and develop modern data architectures and pipelines on Snowflake.

• Implement data ingestion, transformation and exploitation processes using ELT/ETL approaches.

• Design efficient data models for analytical and reporting environments.

• Work with advanced Snowflake features such as Streams & Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Snowpark, Cortex AI, Native Apps, Security, RBAC and access governance.

• Take part in projects on Modern Data Warehousing, data integration, data transformation and modelling, Data Sharing, data governance, cost and performance optimisation, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence use cases…

• Integrate Snowflake with cloud ecosystems on Azure, AWS or GCP.

REQUIREMENTS

• Solid experience as a Data Engineer, with experience in ETL, integration, transformation and data ingestion, as well as data design and modelling.

• Relevant experience working with the Snowflake ecosystem, with experience in most capabilities: Streams & Tasks, Snowpipe, Time Travel, Cloning, Snowpark, Cortex AI, Native Apps Framework, Security and RBAC, Data Sharing, Data Marketplace, cost monitoring and optimisation, and management of Snowflake production environments…

• Advanced command of SQL.

• Experience developing with Python and desirable knowledge of distributed processing with Spark (Databricks or other environments).

• Practical knowledge of cloud environments: AWS, Azure or GCP.
