Business Manager - Water Treatment

WHO ARE WE?

Our partner is an SME specialised in the design and construction of wastewater and drinking water treatment plants (sewage treatment works, drinking water plants, etc.).

Present on the French market for around twenty years, this company is experiencing steady growth in its business. In this context, we are looking for a Business Manager - Water Treatment (F/M).

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As part of a human-scale team, you will work on water treatment projects (STEP, UTEP, methanisation) led by local authorities or industrial clients in Brittany and the Great West - a region particularly active on water issues.

Reporting directly to the Agency Director, you will enjoy a great deal of autonomy in your duties and take part in the entire project lifecycle, from design through to delivery.

As an engineer Business Manager (F/M), your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Design & studies:

• Lead the design of water treatment plants at the different stages of their development (sketch, preliminary design, project, construction) with our design office.

Business management

• Define and organise the internal and external resources needed to deliver the projects

• Manage the budget, anticipate risks and optimise contract margins

• Manage subcontractors and co-contractors, with regular presence on site

Client relations & business development

• Manage client relations with local authorities and project management teams

• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and client satisfaction

• Occasionally contribute to the start-up of projects depending on your profile

Safety & quality

• Apply and enforce the HSE policy on all sites under your responsibility

• Share good project management practices with more junior profiles.

WHO ARE YOU?

Holding a bac +5 (master's level) in Engineering or equivalent, you have solid experience of at least 5 years in water treatment.

You have a minimum of 7 years' experience in water treatment (design and construction of hydraulic structures: STEP, municipal sewage treatment works, drinking water production plants) and associated processes (mechanical and chemical filtration systems, etc.).

You have gained experience in managing the contractual and financial administration of projects

Your ease in building relationships allows you to be comfortable in commercial contact with local authorities and project management teams. You have a thorough command of the water treatment field.

You are recognised for your ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate external partners.

You have an excellent command of how public procurement works (regulations, mechanisms, procedures, etc.): CCAG, CCTG

You have previously had experience centralising and leading different technical trades : civil engineering/groundworks (pipelines, earthworks, etc.), electrical (electricians, etc.), automation.

You have a strong taste for teamwork and a results-driven culture.

WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS?

Permanent contract (CDI) to be filled as soon as possible

Location: Rennes

Remote working: yes - 2 days as a guideline (flexibility regarding remote working depending on the pace of operations to be followed).

Salary package:

• Fixed salary: €50k to €52k

• Variable: €3k fixed

• Profit-sharing: €8k to €10k (indicative)
