Sida Advisory is recruiting, on behalf of Gruppo Punto Auto, a Senior Diagnostic Mechanic to join the workshop team.
Gruppo Punto Auto is the official Stellantis dealership in Ancona for the Opel, Peugeot and Citroën brands, and also handles the new Omoda and Jaecoo brands, as well as used cars and commercial vehicles.
RoleThe Diagnostic Mechanic is the workshop's reference point for locating and resolving electronic faults. Identifies the fault methodically, works directly on the vehicle and supports colleagues in the most complex cases. Works autonomously and reports to the Workshop Manager.
Main ResponsibilitiesElectronic diagnosis using the parent company's tools and software: reading error codes, analysing real-time parameters, testing sensors and actuators
Reading wiring diagrams and locating faults in systems, wiring harnesses, control units and on-board communication networks, using a multimeter and oscilloscope
Programming, coding and software updating of control units; learning the components replaced
Verifying the reported fault, including road testing, and final checks after the repair
Direct mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles
Technical support to other mechanics and guidance on the work to be carried out
At least 10 years' experience as a mechanic in an automotive workshop, with a significant part dedicated to diagnosis
Independent electronic diagnosis with the parent company's software and reading of wiring diagrams
Comprehensive mechanical skills
Analytical mindset, autonomy and precision
Knowledge of DiagBox or other diagnostic software of the Stellantis group
PES/PAV qualification (CEI 11-27) for work on electric and hybrid vehicles
Experience in a dealership or authorised workshop
Technical diploma in mechanics, electronics or mechatronics
Permanent contract, CCNL Commercio (national collective agreement for commerce)
RAL 35,000 - 40,000 €, depending on experience
Full-time schedule Monday to Friday, Saturday off
Pathway to obtain the qualification for electric and hybrid vehicles
Official Stellantis diagnostic equipment and software
Workplace: Ancona, Baraccola area
