About the role

Translated into English from Dutch by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.

Are you an enterprising consultant with experience in safety, resilience and defence? Do you believe in the power of doing business together to make an impact? Then we are looking for you!

About the role

The world is changing at lightning speed, geopolitical tensions are rising, technology is developing rapidly and safety is no longer a given.

That is why nlmtd is looking for a Senior Consultant Safety & Resilience: someone who helps to structurally accelerate innovation and transformation in the security domain.

You work at the intersection of strategy, innovation, change and operations at organisations such as the Defence, Police, intelligence and investigation services, but also at international defence and security organisations such as the European Defence Agency, the NATO Innovation Hub, and other public or private parties that work with them.

You strengthen innovation capacity and the ability to change, help set up preconditions smartly and ensure new ideas really contribute to effectiveness. From better deployability to greater agility and extra protection of people and resources.

At nlmtd you work with enterprising colleagues who believe transformation starts with doing. No thick reports, but tangible impact.

Our mission: make the Netherlands and Europe safer, more agile and more resilient. Today and tomorrow.

In this role you make the difference at the intersection of innovation, strategy and safety.
You take ideas further, from vision to reality, and help organisations in the security domain to innovate faster, smarter and more effectively.

What will you do?

Strengthening innovation capacity and the ability to change You help organisations such as the Defence, Police and (inter)national security bodies to professionalise their innovation and change approach. Think of strategy, governance, decision-making and the right processes to really make renewal take off.

Accelerating innovation and experiments You set up innovation projects, guide experiments and make sure good ideas don't stall in the pilot phase, but grow into visible results that people are proud of.

From promise to result in practice You embed successful innovations in the organisation, so that the Netherlands and Europe genuinely become stronger, safer and more agile as a result.

Building a powerful innovation ecosystem You connect clients, knowledge institutes, industry, start-ups and innovation managers. You know: you never innovate alone. Together you work on an independent and future-proof defence and security domain.

In short: you are the link between idea and impact: someone who sees what is needed to really make renewal land.
