About the role

Translated into English from Danish by Korum. The employer's original wording is on their site.

As Senior Software Developer within AI Engineering, you become a key player in building the AI capabilities that Bankdata's developers work with every day. You work hands-on with agentic coding, agent tools and the guardrails that make autonomous AI responsible in a financial enterprise context. You help move Bankdata from a classic SDLC towards a more AI-driven software development lifecycle (AIDLC). The role gives you both deep technical involvement with the latest AI development and a clear impact on how software is created for up to 1,000 developers and specialists.

A team with a focus on AI for developers

You become part of the Code Delivery Tools team, which is responsible for Bankdata's development tools, platforms and AI enablement. The team is staffed to 7 engineers and currently consists of 6 profiles with different backgrounds and seniority.

Everyday work is structured around Scrum with daily stand-ups, refinement, sprint planning, review and retrospective. There is a focus on shared goals, knowledge sharing and collaboration, including pair programming where it makes sense.

Technologically, the team works with agentic AI, LLM-based development tools, MCP and agent integrations, evaluation and observability of AI output, and the platform and CI/CD that everything runs on. The culture is characterised by curiosity, pragmatism and a solid product mindset, where the developers at Bankdata are our customers.

Your role: Agentic AI in the developers' hands

Your primary areas of responsibility:

  • Own and maintain our selection of AI development tools, including managing budgets, models, capabilities etc.

  • Build, integrate and operate agentic AI tools and harness components for developers. Everything from coding agents and MCP servers to deterministic support tools that solve real tasks in the development chain

  • Design and implement guardrails: policies, access models, sandboxing, review gates and audit trails that make autonomous development agents compliant-by-default in a financial context

  • Establish measurements and evaluations of the effect and quality of the AI tools: adoption, lead time, error rates and trust in output

  • Turn future concepts such as AIDLC into concrete capabilities that can be taken into use by real teams

  • Drive developer enablement within AI-supported development: testing new solutions, creating best practices, working with harness engineering, AI guild activity and sparring across teams and areas

In the first 6-12 months you will:

  • Take part in the team's collaboration and work openly and pragmatically with your colleagues

  • Get hands-on with the team's existing AI tool chain and make it even better, faster and more reliable for the developers

  • Build and mature guardrails around agentic coding, so that more tasks can be handed over to agents with peace of mind

  • Help chart the direction for agentic software development at Bankdata, together with the team and the AI for Bankdata architects.

  • Work closely and openly with colleagues and developer teams on moving practice and adoption, not just tools

Your profile - strong AI engineer with a product mindset

We imagine that you:

  • Have a broad technical background, e.g. in computer science, software engineering or similar - experience and drive are weighted higher than formal education

  • Are strong in generative AI in practice: agentic AI, agentic coding, harness engineering, context and tool design, and have built something yourself that works

  • Understand why guardrails, security and compliance are a prerequisite rather than a brake when AI gains autonomy in a financial company

  • Follow where the field is heading and want to work with cutting-edge AI concepts as they emerge.

  • Have a solid developer background and know the developers' everyday life, tools and workflows from the inside

  • Work in a structured and pragmatic way, thrive in a team with shared responsibility, and regard developers as your internal customers

  • Experience with Developer Experience or Platform Engineering is a plus

What do we offer?
  • A unique opportunity to work with agentic AI and AI-assisted development in a critical enterprise context for 1000+ employees.

  • High visibility and the opportunity to create improvements that are felt across Bankdata

  • Good development opportunities within AI engineering, agentic engineering, platform engineering and developer enablement
