We are looking for a Schedule Manager for a consultancy assignment in Luleå. Scope: 100%.

Job Description

You are responsible for the construction project's master schedule and coordinate it with design and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimise the master schedule with design, procurement and construction production.
• Coordinate site managers and the construction manager and handle deviations early.
• Plan work sequences and critical resources for efficient production.
• Follow up physical progress and update schedules based on outcomes and changes.
• Analyse progress curves, schedule risks and scenarios to recover delays.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of progressively developed experience in project planning and scheduling in large-scale EPC/EPCM environments, for example mining, energy, oil and gas or infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory) and very good knowledge of MS Project and reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Documented experience of leading multidisciplinary planning teams in megaprojects exceeding USD 500 million, with full responsibility for master schedules, short-term look-ahead plans, progress curves and resource histograms.
• Proven ability to develop, review and optimise integrated schedules for design, procurement, construction production and commissioning using methods such as CPM, EVM and Lean Construction.
• Advanced competence in Primavera P6, including setting up and maintaining the master schedule.
• Development of detailed project schedules covering all phases: permits, design, procurement, construction production and start-up.
• Preparation of package-specific schedules for procurement and tendering processes.
• Expertise in establishing work breakdown structures (WBS), defining activities, estimating durations and determining logical work sequences.
• Experience in schedule follow-up and progress monitoring, including identification of activities on the critical path.
• Evaluation of project progress through analysis of earned hours (Earned Hours, HH): planned, earned and forecast hours.
• Development and maintenance of critical path reports and key performance indicators for schedule performance.
• Expertise in schedule impact analysis to identify risks, delays and possible solutions to recover the schedule.
• Preparation of weekly and monthly project progress reports with compilation of key schedule performance indicators.
• Development of S-curves for overall project follow-up and package-specific analysis at WBS level 2.
• Identification of early and late S-curves using Primavera P6.
• Good knowledge of Power BI dashboards for real-time reporting of construction production progress and schedule performance.
• Leadership in risk workshops, schedule reviews and progress meetings.
• Fluent English (Intermediate-Advanced) for technical communication, meetings and reporting.

Merits

• Familiarity with integrated systems such as SAP, EcoSys or Deltek Cobra is highly advantageous.
• Experience of planning shutdowns and sequencing start-up to ensure smooth transitions between project phases.
• Background in mechanical trades or maintenance planning.
• Knowledge of industry standards, good practice and compliance requirements for project scheduling.

• Very good problem-solving ability and critical thinking within project scheduling and risk reduction.
