General Director, Industrial & R&D

We are looking for a General Director to lead a company in Industrial Biotechnology R&D, .

What will your mission be?

Leading the strategy, operational management and scientific-technical development of the company, promoting sustainable business growth, research excellence and the generation of new market opportunities.

Main responsibilities

✅ Define and implement the company's overall strategy.

✅ Lead economic and financial management, ensuring the optimisation of resources and the sustainability of the business.

✅ Drive the attraction of public and private funding, including national and European R&D+i projects.

✅ Manage and develop high-level scientific and technical teams.

✅ Supervise the development and execution of research and innovation projects.

✅ Identify new business opportunities and lead commercial expansion in national and international markets.

✅ Represent the company before clients, public bodies, strategic partners and sector institutions.

✅ Lead certification, accreditation and continuous improvement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards.

What are we looking for?

🎓 University degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Sciences or related areas.

🎓 A Doctorate, MBA or postgraduate training would be an advantage.

💼 More than 8 years of experience in sectors such as biotechnology, chemicals, energy, agri-food or industrial processes.

👥 Established experience in managing teams and running scientific or technological organisations.

💰 Experience in securing and managing grants and competitive national and international funding.

🧪 Knowledge of laboratory certifications and accreditations (ISO 17025, GLP or others).

🌍 English level C1 or higher.

🚗 Willingness to travel and own vehicle.
