Where will you land?

GCC Occitanie delivers bespoke structures, public or private, new-build or renovated, across all building sectors: industry, public facilities, tertiary, healthcare, shopping centres, … local and regional. Come and take part in or lead projects worth €5M to €25M, as general contractor and/or design-build, on new-build works, rehabilitation and/or major restructuring.

What you will face: highly technical sites (enough to make you think), strong environmental impacts, short chains of command, quick decisions, autonomy and accountability.

And the position?

The position: Principal Site Engineer GO, m/f

Based in: Montpellier (34)

Reporting line: under the authority of an Operations Director

You take charge of part or all of a project and manage an extended team, including site managers whom you train and develop.

What you will do with us:

  • Lead the analysis of the tender file and validate, together with your site managers and the methods department, the site organisation and the execution programme.

  • Consult on and validate the choice of suppliers and subcontractors, and ensure the proper execution of works across all your operations.

  • Gather the technical and financial information needed to build a claim.

  • Take part in recruiting your team and ensure the integration and training of the staff under your responsibility.

  • Act as a delegated authority for prevention: you place safety at the heart of your organisational decisions.

  • Pass on your experience to your colleagues and prepare the technical and managerial succession of your team.

Apply if:
  • At school, you leaned towards the technical side and went as far as a civil engineering degree

  • Your first site dates back more than 5 years and you are ready to manage a project autonomously

  • You see management through example and have a strong taste for training and transmission

  • You are able to arbitrate and commit to technical and financial choices

  • Rigour is your greatest strength in the administrative, budgetary and HR management of your teams

What do you gain?
  • Salary: depending on profile

  • Bonus, profit-sharing & participation

  • Holiday bonus

  • Supplementary health insurance with optional additional cover

  • PEG (employee share ownership) with matching contribution

Our CSR Commitments across 4 areas, including some flagship actions :

  • Offer sober and sustainable solutions for our clients: innovative partnership with the company Hoffman for low-carbon concrete with a carbon footprint divided by 5,

  • Guarantee good working conditions, in complete safety: workplace safety, one of GCC's fundamentals: an accident frequency rate of 6.96 in 2023,

  • Limit our environmental footprint: Reduce land artificialisation: 50% of our turnover in rehabilitation/renovation by 2028,

  • Unite around our CSR commitments: 100% of our supervisory staff trained in CSR.

Entrepreneurship, at the heart of GCC's DNA: we believe in the freedom to entrepreneur and intrapreneur. Like our "Licorne" intrapreneurship programme, we support our employees in their desire to start up (e.g. Fly Renov).
