ABGi Technology is recruiting on behalf of its client, a large industrial group in the energy sector, for its future Confirmed / Senior GLPI Expert, based in Lyon.

🔎 YOUR MISSIONS

As part of the modernisation, securing and continuous improvement of its industrial IT infrastructure, our client wishes to strengthen its teams with an experienced GLPI Expert.

You will work within a critical industrial environment, where the availability, reliability, security and traceability of IT infrastructure are major issues.

Your role will be to ensure the deployment, administration, maintenance in operational condition (MCO) and evolution of the GLPI platform, used in particular for IT inventory management and tracking of IT equipment and resources.

You will work closely with the operations teams, systems and infrastructure administrators, technical experts and the various stakeholders involved in managing production and non-production environments.

The missions required of you:

• Ensure the deployment, installation, configuration and administration of the GLPI platform;

• Take part in the design and evolution of the solution's technical architecture;

• Ensure the maintenance in operational condition (MCO), availability, reliability and security of the platform;

• Administer and develop the inventory management functions for IT equipment and resources;

• Ensure the quality, consistency and reliability of inventory data;

• Take part in integrating GLPI with other information system tools, in particular through its APIs;

• Carry out maintenance operations, updates and technical evolutions of the platform;

• Administer and operate the PostgreSQL databases associated with the technical environments;

• Work on Linux RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) environments;

• Ensure the configuration and operation of the web components required for the platform, in particular Apache, Nginx and Squid;

• Develop and maintain Python and Bash scripts to automate technical operations and recurring tasks;

• Use Ansible to automate deployments, configurations and administration operations;

• Take part in securing and optimising the infrastructure hosting the solution;

• Analyse, diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents related to GLPI and its environment;

• Provide level 3 technical support (N3) to the level 2 operations teams;

• Carry out the technical investigations needed to identify the root causes of incidents;

• Take part in the qualification, testing and validation phases of changes before they go into production;

• Work on Production and Non-Production environments;

• Produce and maintain the technical architecture documents (DAT), installation, administration and operating procedures;

• Write test plans, technical guides and the documents needed for the maintenance and evolution of the platform;

• Take part in technical workshops and exchanges with the various IT teams;

• Support users and operational teams in using and operating the solution;

• Ensure follow-up and traceability of interventions through the Jira and ServiceNow tools;

• Take part in ceremonies and work organised within an Agile / SAFe environment;

• Be a source of proposals for continuous improvement, automation and reliability of the GLPI platform.

🎯 OUR REQUIREMENTS

Required skills and experience:

• Significant professional experience in administration, integration or technical expertise of GLPI, ideally within complex IT environments;

• In-depth expertise in GLPI, covering its architecture, installation, configuration, administration and use of its APIs;

• Command of IT inventory management functions and IT equipment tracking;

• Good command of PostgreSQL databases, in particular for their operation and administration;

• Solid skills in Linux system administration, particularly RHEL;

• Command of Apache, Nginx and Squid web environments and servers;

• Proven skills in Python and Bash scripting;

• Practical experience in automation with Ansible, in particular for the deployment and configuration of infrastructure;

• Experience in deployment, maintenance, evolution and maintenance in operational condition of application platforms;

• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex level 3 technical incidents;

• Good understanding of security, availability and reliability issues of IT environments;

• Experience in writing technical architecture documents, operating procedures, administration guides and test plans;

• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with various technical teams;

• Technical English enabling you to understand documentation and technical exchanges.

The following skills are considered real assets:

• Experience integrating GLPI with other infrastructure solutions or IT tools;

• Experience on GLPI platform migration or upgrade projects;

• Knowledge of IT park management issues and inventory repositories;

• Experience in industrialising and automating system administration tasks;

• Familiarity with the Jira and ServiceNow intervention tracking and management tools;

• Knowledge of Agile / SAFe methodologies;

• Awareness of ITIL best practice and IT service management;

• Experience in production environments subject to high demands for availability, security and business continuity.

Experience in an industrial environment is particularly sought after, notably in the energy, nuclear, critical infrastructure, transport or heavy industry sectors.

👤 THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

With a Bac+2 to Bac+5 qualification in IT, systems and networks, IT infrastructure or an equivalent field, you can demonstrate significant experience in the administration and operation of GLPI solutions.

You have genuine technical expertise in GLPI and master the system environments, databases, web servers and automation tools needed to operate it.

You are able to work autonomously across the full life cycle of a platform: installation, configuration, integration, deployment, operation, maintenance, incident resolution and continuous improvement.

You are recognised for your rigour, sense of organisation, analytical ability and gift for synthesis.

You enjoy demanding technical environments and know how to produce clear, structured documentation that operational teams can use.

Your oral and written communication, your ability to work with a variety of contacts and your aptitude for supporting operations teams will be essential to succeed in this assignment.
