Grafana LGTM & Kubernetes Observability Expert | L3 - Paris / Rennes

As part of our growth and to meet the specific needs of one of our clients, we are looking for a Grafana LGTM & Kubernetes Observability Expert to work on cloud-native observability platforms in production.

• Operate and maintain production observability platforms based on Grafana, Prometheus and the LGTM stack.

• Ensure the proper functioning and performance of observability components deployed on Kubernetes.

• Administer stateful components on Kubernetes and manage their lifecycle in production environments.

• Optimise telemetry collection and processing mechanisms, in particular OpenTelemetry pipelines.

• Analyse and optimise issues relating to cardinality, data retention, storage and query performance.

• Contribute to the industrialisation of deployments using Helm and GitOps practices.

• Contribute to the reliability, scalability and continuous improvement of observability platforms.

• Mastery of Grafana, Prometheus and the operating principles of the LGTM stack.

• Good knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm and GitOps practices.

• Good understanding of OpenTelemetry and telemetry pipelines.

• Mastery of issues relating to cardinality, retention, storage and performance optimisation.

• Experience operating stateful components on Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of Mimir, Loki, Tempo and Grafana Alloy is appreciated.

• Knowledge of Kafka and high-volume ingestion architectures is an asset.

• Practical experience of GitLab CI/CD, Terraform or OpenTofu and Ansible is appreciated.

• Knowledge of networking, NetFlow or eBPF is a plus.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow and CMDB principles is an advantage.

• Rigour and autonomy in operating critical platforms.

• Analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.

• Team spirit and the ability to collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and production teams.

• Ability to propose improvements to strengthen the reliability and performance of platforms.

• Significant experience operating observability platforms or cloud-native platforms in production.

• Hands-on experience of Grafana and Prometheus on large data volumes and scopes.

• Proven experience of Kubernetes, in particular operating stateful components.

• Expected expertise level: L3.
