Financial Director

Perhaps you are currently Chief Accountant in a larger or medium-sized company and ready for the next step, as Financial Director in a role where you work closely with the owner-managers on the operation and development of the business. Alternatively, you may already be Financial Director, with a good job and great influence, but miss the opportunity to work hands-on with the operational tasks at the same time.

At H&S Westergaard you work as the most senior person responsible for the finances in a solid, international and owner-managed company, where decisions are made quickly and where finance is not just about reporting - but about understanding the business and helping to develop it. The finance function is already digitised and automated in many areas, but there are still many development areas. You get the opportunity to continue working on solutions in Business Central, digitalisation, AI and upgrading controlling.

• Financial management, reporting, budgets and forecasts

• Month-end and year-end closing and cooperation with the auditor

• Controlling and analyses as a basis for business decisions

• Responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations

• Further development of processes, automation and Business Central

• Financial responsibility for several companies as well as the owners' holding company

We envisage that you have a relevant financial educational background such as HD(R) or cand.merc.aud and experience from a company where you have worked with operations, financial management and development. You do not need to have already held the title of Financial Director, but you must be ready to take responsibility and make decisions.

You are curious about new opportunities and want to explore how digitalisation and AI can be used to make processes smarter. And you want to understand the business through the numbers and use your financial insight to identify opportunities for development and earnings.

You will have direct personnel responsibility for one employee in finance, but must also be able to create cooperation and followership across the office's other 10 employees. You are good at delegating and prioritising so that the office's tasks are solved efficiently, in good quality and on time. The culture is ambitious and energetic, but also informal and familial, and many employees have been part of the company for many years.

You will be based in the new office in Sunds near Herning. Start is expected at the beginning of 2027.

H&S Westergaard is an owner-managed trade and transport company with head office in Sunds near Herning. The business area is the brokering of pigs and cattle. There are 35 employees, and a large part of the staff have been with the company for many years. With a fleet of 20 lorries, every day work is done to deliver high-quality transport solutions to customers.
