Our strength lies in combining a local presence, recognised technical expertise and an international network to devise sustainable and innovative solutions in response to climate, societal and technological challenges.
Your mission: contribute to projects that matter
Reporting to the Management of the Water, Waste & Energy Division, which generates €10M in revenue and brings together 60 employees, you lead the division's business development in France with a resolutely proactive approach. You identify new opportunities, organise targeted prospecting, lead market intelligence and turn weak signals into concrete commercial actions, in close collaboration with the Business Units.
You also develop customer loyalty in the fields of studies, consulting, owner's assistance and design management, mainly on the following activities:
Waste treatment and energy infrastructure: energy recovery units and district heating networks.
Small and large water cycles in France: water treatment, urban hydraulics, river hydraulics and multidisciplinary studies.
Your responsibilities
In this role, your main responsibilities will be as follows:
· Develop the order book of the Water, Waste & Energy Division in France.
· Deploy and lead, with the division's managers, the commercial strategy defined in consultation with the Division Director and the France Sales Director.
· Structure commercial intelligence on markets, clients, upstream projects, regulatory changes and competitor moves, and ensure the division's upstream positioning.
· Manage the commercial relationship with major national accounts and develop lasting relationships with clients.
· Take part in producing and supervising strategic offers to ensure their alignment with client needs and company policy.
· Foster synergies with the Business Units, service lines, other WSP divisions in France, and Group entities in Europe and internationally.
· Ensure the circulation of information, reviews and reporting related to your scope, and represent WSP in professional bodies when required.
Your future team: You will rely on the sales resources of the Water, Waste & Energy Division, its Business Units and their service lines. You will work closely with the other divisions' Development Directors, the France Sales Director, and other Group entities in Europe and worldwide.
Our culture: we value transparency, trust and mutual support to create an environment where everyone can speak up, contribute and see their ideas valued.
The Visioneer you are: every journey is unique
At WSP, we seek curious, committed talent motivated by meaningful projects. Whatever your level of experience, you will find a stimulating environment here to develop your skills, share your ideas and build a career path that is right for you.
This role is for you if you recognise yourself in the following criteria:
A degree from a business school, or from an engineering school specialising in water, waste or energy, or equivalent training.
Proven experience in business development in the waste treatment, energy and water sectors, with the ability to develop and deploy a commercial strategy.
Ability to identify opportunities, negotiate, win contracts in line with company policy, build trusted relationships and retain clients.
Good technical understanding of the division's business areas and knowledge of the French Public Procurement Code and CCAGs (standard public contract terms).
Ability to implement organisational, management and strategic decisions to achieve commercial and financial objectives.
Leadership, sense of responsibility, team spirit and cooperation, proactive suggestions and the ability to communicate, lead, motivate and unite diverse stakeholders.
Fluent English, availability for frequent travel within France, and commitment to WSP's values and ethical policy.
What this role will bring you: This opportunity will allow you to play a driving role in the growth of a strategic division, to have a direct impact on the development of the order book and to contribute to projects with major environmental stakes, within an international group.
