About the role
As an Embedded DevOps Engineer at Ictech, you work on technically advanced customer projects building, improving and maintaining robust CI/CD environments. The assignments can vary depending on your experience and skills, but what they have in common is that you work at the boundary between software and hardware.
This may include, for example, cross-compilation, hardware dependencies and traceability. Together with developers and testers, you create stable and automated flows from code change to testing and verification on physical hardware.
Examples of tasks:Develop and improve CI/CD systems for embedded environments, for example Jenkins, GitLab CI and Zuul.
Automate build, test and release flows.
Integrate automated tests against physical hardware rigs (HIL/SIL).
Standardise build environments with Docker or Podman.
Develop scripts and tools that streamline the development process.
Troubleshoot build, compilation and hardware-related integration problems.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have several years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD and automation and a strong understanding of embedded systems. You enjoy technical problem-solving, collaboration and creating stable solutions that last over time.
We believe that you:Have experience with Python, Bash and C/C++.
Are comfortable in Linux environments, preferably Embedded Linux, Yocto or Buildroot.
Have experience with CI/CD pipelines in hardware-related projects.
Have knowledge of build systems such as CMake, Make or Bazel.
Are analytical, solution-oriented and happy to share your knowledge.
Have made mistakes along the way and learned a lot from them.
Experience of systems engineering, cybersecurity in embedded or Autosar is a plus, but not a requirement.
