About the role

We are now looking for senior developers to Växjö to strengthen the Betala product area. At Betala we create innovative solutions that make it easier for Sweden's entrepreneurs to manage their payments and financing. As a developer with us, you will be a key player in developing the services that position us as one of Sweden's most exciting FinTech companies.

You will be part of a team with end-to-end responsibility for the product's development, from idea stage to finished delivery. We work in an agile way and you will be able to influence ways of working, methods and technologies, which gives you great opportunities to develop across the entire tech stack. We work closely with other development teams, product and design, and together we are on a growth journey where your efforts have a direct effect.

We are building a modern microservice architecture in Java and Kotlin with a React frontend. We like distributed systems and combine event-driven flows and patterns such as Event Sourcing with classic REST APIs where they do the most good.

About you 
We are looking for someone who:

• Wants to contribute to good and user-friendly products.

• Has several years of experience of professional software development with emphasis on backend

• Has good knowledge of modern programming technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend and/or Java/Kotlin for backend.

• Has experience of working in agile development teams.

• Has fluent Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written.

We also consider it a merit if you have worked with payments or within FinTech.
